Poop Why are you looking at my code? The jquery I use for my nav bar requires a link to their website, they didn't say I couldn't put it in a hidden div. :)

So much to talk about it's hard to come up with a nice clever title. Anyways that's not what's important, the important thing is that I'm in London.

So for today lets just try to go though what all has happened really quick so I can get some much needed sleep.

me
Got up around nine ran a few last minuet errands and put the last few things in my luggage. Got to the airport about two hours early. Sister and Mom dropped me off and were a little emotional as expected. I guess I can understand that since it's my first time flying not to mention that I was flying out of country.

So first flight took us to D.C. not to bad it was a quick flight but the plane was really small. And I was glad to get out of it. We had a short lay over and then it was on to our 777 for the almost seven hour flight to London. A little bumpier then the first flight but nothing to bad.

We got to London around six local time. After we collected the group we got on the subway (or "tube") and it was about on hour to our stop. Once we got to our stop we were underground but the train had been above ground for parts of the trip and I seemed to misjudge how far underground we were. We had the choice of stairs or elevator to get to ground level. The elevator door had a 3 on it so I assumed that was only 3 floors down and there were hundreds of people waiting to get on the lift so me and one other guy opted for the stairs ignoring the people that had been here before. The small easy steps quickly gave way to a step spiral stair case. Which with my around hundred pounds of stuff on my back felt like 6 floors of stairs.

me
Once we all got to the top it was a six block walk to where we are staying. After we got our room keys and dropped our stuff of we went out for a quick lunch then most of us came back and took a nap. I woke up to the sounds of sirens just as it was time for us to go out for dinner. There are a lot of police and sirens go by my window about every hour.

We all went to a near by pub for dinner. For dinner I had a Bacon cheese burger and fires (or "chips") with a pepsi. The soft drinks taste a little funny here. They all seem semilar to there american counter parts but at the same time the are very different. Mountain Dew here is considered an energy drink due to its high caffeine. Anyways the food has been good so far.

Once we all finished dinner we walked around for a bit. We visited a few shops and saw some familiar stores. The Apple store here looked amazing but I didn't take time to go in or get a picture but maybe we'll go back that way.

I really enjoyed seeing things that are familiar like Burger King and Subway but they look just a bit different here. Hopefully I'll have time to take pictures of a lot of them. Anyways after our walk we returned to Eckerd house and since then I've been trying to catch up on things on the web and contact friends and family members.

But now it's time for sleep since I'll be finishing this at midnight here and I have to be up at 8 for breakfast. So...

Until tomorrow....
